I didnt think i would have gotten so lucky with this shot. It was my first time out with my camera and I really had lack of experince (still do)
I was walking home with my friend when I stopped for a moment and saw this beautiful lady. I couldn't stop staring at her (bc i have a thing for Asians XD), and I guess...i gathered the courage to take this shot:
click for the story for that one ~
And after that, I still kept watching her (*W* stalker !) She was with her unattractive husband(?) and as they walked past me, I had to be more of a stalker and watch her.
She was walking away and I just wanted another pic. Her back was facing me then, so I brought the camera to my face and waited for a few seconds to get a good shot. It was a bit werid because her husband(?) was right beside her and I didnt want him in the shot >.> She was waiting for him because he was fumbling with his own camera...
But, i think that ultimately helped me in the end with the composition of the photo. As you can see above XD
“Are you ready?” I distinctively recalled her asking her husband (?) as she was getting ready to walk.Which is why she turned her head to the side.
And I just took the shot (now or never moment) also because I had argument in my head if this felt right >..<
I quickly put my camera down and just watched her walk away. It happened so fast because each second, she was moving and changing positions, whatever. And then they held hands and started walking away, getting farther and farther.
I would like to know your thoughts with this foto, which is why I only told the story, but if you want to read my further thoughts about this, you can read it ^^ But be sure that if you going to comment, comment first, then read it because i dont want it to influence your thoughts
I think I can see why you love this photo so much. Here, there's evidence of the beauty of the woman that she's unaware of. I love the little story you posted in the comments! It helps me appreciate this photo more. I want to know more about it, but I'll respect your wish and post my thoughts before I read more. So here are my thoughts on it.
The perspective on this photo gives some stunning details! I'm glad this is in b&w because in color the great composition would probably be less noticeable.
Of course, the lovely woman is the first thing the viewer sees, the largest object in the foreground ( I don't think that woman would like it very much if she knew I called her that). Then as the eyes roam around to take in the background, the viewer would note 3 big details that really fit well juxtaposed with the woman: the trees, the small shapes of the people, and the shadows of the trees that across the wide path.
I love the graceful lines of the tree trunks and branches, and the blurry shapes of the leaves. The different tone values of the people's shapes look very good, and the shadows add an interesting design to the whole picture.
The photo looks so serene. You have a distinct style in your photography, and I like it very much! I'm impressed you got this daring shot in one go ("now or never"). Hopefully you'll come across more beautiful photos like this in the future!
Ah yeh, I think the story made the photo that more special ~ Though, my original thoughts written was removed because my blog got deleted, since the site/domain shut down or something like that :/ Cruel world...
Interestingly enough, many of your comments corresponded to my initial thoughts D haha XD
I think the shadows and lines of the trees really added to the photo too ~ I got lucky that I was able to get her in focus for the only shot I took in that angle haha, beginners luck I suppose :"D
Haha, now or never moment, yeh that's exactly it. I might have more of those moments because now I don't really feel as shy anymore. But, I just have to be careful not to get caught, haha. ^^"
Thanks so much for the kind comments, I really appreciate your insight ♥
This is a gorgeous photo. Not just because it's in black and white, it feels like an old, classic photo to me. And that lady is really pretty. xD I like how she's to the side so that even though she is the focus, you can still see the lovely park behind her, with the other people and amazing trees. Wonderful shot. ^^ <3
